I have 4 Light brown leghorns and not laying anymore :(

I have 4 leghorns and they had stopped laying for almost 2 weeks! the act normal and eat normal but no eggs! the are no predetors and i live in CT and its gotten pretty cold since winter is coming. can anyone help?

It is quite normal for chickens to lay fewer eggs during the Winter and cold months..with a lot less daylight.... and also they are possibly going through a moult...are you finding feathers lying around in the coop...?

yea there are some feathers around coop. should i bee concerned?

They will usually molt at 16-18 months, then yearly thereafter. During a molt they usually stop laying, and that may last 1-2 months. Here is a little bet to read about molting:

No need to be concerned over feathers like Suzie mentioned. They are moulting like chickens do this time of year. Give some poultry vitamins in their water a few days a week. Probiotic powder 1 day a week in waterers helps too. How old are your hens?

i'd say they are about 9 - 13 months
