I have a chick that is only on 19 days of incubation!!! HELP !!!

That actually would make things worse... if you spray inside the incubator you should make sure that you don't spray the actual eggs... when water evaporates off the shell it actually pulls more moisture from the egg, causing it to dry out even more....
Yes, that's why you spray goose eggs during incubation to get them to lose moisture. Sounds counterproductive, but it really isn't.

And thank you for sharing that. Always learning something. No matter how many years you raise animals, there is always more to learn. Guess my old way was best after all. Put them in and let them hatch!
 
It has been an interesting thread, I am going to try the coconut oil instead of the wet paper towel next time :)

It's very common to think that a wet paper towel would be a good thing. I'm sure many of us did it before we realized what was really happening with it. It's all a learning process. :)

Yep, I did it at first... til I figured out it was just like flapping a wet washcloth on a hot day to use to cool off with... that's when it clicked why the poor chicks were shivering so bad when they hatched out on that wet paper towel...
