In case you're wondering, OP, I just ordered this and it was about $26 + shipping, for 100 capsules. You don't need an antibiotic for this, but in the future you can buy them online as fish antibiotics.
I am in colorado. Where can i get it for a decent price? what is it treating and do you think its curable. Can I buy Tylan capsules and divide the dose and sprinkle on a piece of fruit etc/. What would be the dose for that? I can also get fish erythromycin from my local pet store that would be available right away.Try increasing the diflucam to three doses a day. I'm currently battling a stubborn yeast infection in one of my older hens (nine years), and the idea is to keep the crop supplied with the anti-yeast med continuously.
Adding an antibiotic to the mix right now would only aggravate the yeast, if it's what's behind her symptoms. Give it two or three more days at the higher dose. If there's no change, and if the crop seems to be emptying by morning, then you could stop the yeast treatment and switch to an antibiotic.
If you suspect a respiratory illness, Tylan 50 given orally twice a day at .5ml would be the best med to use. If you're in Californa, you'll need a prescription. Maybe Oregon, too. Other states, none required. Or if you're not in the US, this is all moot.
