I have a very stong dislike for the USPS! Grrrrrrrrrr!!! Update :(

The box of death came at 7:50 am. I have 6 that were still moving and only1 that was peeping. I have them in a very warm brooder (maybe overly warm but I think needed). I have been giving 1 drop of liquid vitamins by beak every 15 min until I get 5 drops down eat chick. 3 of them are stiff and braely moving. The outcome is not going to be favorable. I doubt more than 1 or 2 will pull through.

I am just heart sick.

I am filing a complaint with USPS. The box is a priority box and is clearly labled as such. There is a bar code on the box and I fairly certain that it could have been tracked. Had I been able to get the box Saturday I know they all would have survived.

I am also filing a complaint with McMurray. After 20 years of business with them this is the first time this has happened. As much as I want to support them I don't know if I can any longer. I know for a fact these boxes can be tracked. It is the lack of the hatchery not choosing to ship them with tracking that is highly questionable as well as disappointing. I thought better of them up until this point.

I can and will no longer advocate mail order chicks.

Thank you, USPS, for your lack of quality control and not handling live animals with more precautions.

It is such a shame that those chicks had to suffer the way they did. There was no need for it.

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry. It's beyond unfair, it's cruel to put a person in that position. I'm definitely rethinking any urges I had to order more live chicks.

that is sad,, what @holes ,,from the usps to mcmurray,,, im thinking after my next order gets here,, im HOPING i wont have to order any more,, im trying to get all the breeding stock i'll need now,, maybe by the next order i might,, i still need some BR tho

MissPrissy, i am so sorry for this poor service on both ends. thank you for being honest with the outcome. it will help us determine future purchases.

again, so sorry this happened.
