I have a weird looking rooster

“Only time will tell!”

I say take it for a drive and pretend to get lost, if it insists that you stop and ask for directions then you have a female.

If that doesn’t happen, pull over and act like you broke down, if it looks under the hood and pretends to know what’s wrong, you have a male.

If it just wants to sit there on the side of the road and smoke cigarettes and listen to K.D Lang on the radio, then this test was inconclusive.

Sigh...nope sorry.
If a hen has damage to her left ovary and it stops producing estrogen then there is nothing to keep the testosterone in balance. They can grow plumage like a Roo they can crow (some females do without hormonal imbalances..they just do) but a hen cannot produce sperm. They do not become male.
Heck I’ve seen bearded ladies with deep voices but it’s really a hormonal imbalance.
It’s a old wives tale...from long ago to explain why a hen would look like a rooster crow like a Rooster. We know better now what causes it and why & how it happens.

I think it’s just the fact that it looks and acts like a rooster, I’d find it hard to think a female can become 100% male. The fertility is always gonna be deactivated when that change happens. And it is a permanent deactivation
