I have some ?s about Partridge Wyandottes

Finding quality stock is the challenge. Several hatcheries offer partridge Wyandottes, some even claim they are exhibition worthy. Do not be fooled. These birds will not have good lacing or size to make them competitive. I also endorse Paul's Poultry. If you are serious about the partridge variety, then place your order with the Paul's early. If you are thinking Silver Laced would be the route to take, then try Korfus Kluckers. Christine has sought some of the best lines available and has some phenominal SLW to show for it.

I believe Kristina has all but sold out of her SLWs. Paul's Poultry used a cock from her last season, a VERY VERY nice bird.

Paul has been very responsive when I've communicated with him (regarding my computer-impaired self and an auction on bidbird). I don't know the foleys and haven't seen anything from them at a show out here yet....

I've heard good things about both breeders, but if I were going for Partridge or SLW chicks I would probably order from Paul (since I have seen some of the lines/birds going into his SLW stock, and I've heard good things about his LF part).

My SLW is not the most awesome layer, she likes to take breathers, but my pair has been very fertile and I do enjoy them. I had white wyandottes in the past, and in both colors the personality has been fantastic and I *adored* the cockerels/cocks.... and they were all SO different from hatchery birds. BIG beautiful lovelies.
