I have a question about colors?! I ordered Blue White top Polish. Are they like other blue chickens when it comes to the "Blue Gene"?....ex. Blue + Blue = Blue, Black, or Splash babies.

i love my polish they are great, welcome to the fan club!! lolOK I recently got 25 polish chicks by accident (hatchery sent me the wrong order!) and at first I thought "how on earth am I going to find someone to take 25 chicks?!" BUT after scrolling through this whole thread I'm thinking "how on earth am I going to build a pen big enough for my 25 gorgeous feather tops?!" I've never seen polish hens in real life and I've been all about production up until now, but after seeing all your pictures I don't think I could bare to give away a single one! I'm a converted polish fan!
And she is adorable!!
Totally! when you see her from the top view, she looks like a pineapple! And she is adorable!!I haven't had the opportunity to add some frizzles to my Polish flock, but I sure would like too! They remind me of walking pine cones

I had a poof puller and I put some nasty stuff on the victim's head. It's called ickthamol, and it looks and smells like black tar. Yes it will wear off. I get it at a feed place. Or you may try some nasty thick stuff on her head feathers.I just had to pull 3 Polish out of the brooder with that they were in with Silkies because one of the poor things has a balds spot on the back of its head. I was about to move them into a brooder with bigger chicks because they are about 3 times the size of the Silkies and bantam they where with, but now they ate in a small brooder with Polish exclusively in it. How long will this bullying last? If I hadn't saw it I would have never believed a Silkie would torment a Polish.
Ickthamol is an old timers remedy. My father used it on cuts. It is black tar and I have a big jar bought at the local feed and hardware. It is interesting that it is still in use after all.I had a poof puller and I put some nasty stuff on the victim's head. It's called ickthamol, and it looks and smells like black tar. Quote: I know, but I guess it stuck with some horse people, it's one of the things that brings an abcess out. But the stink and probably taste is nasty!
