I have to talk POLISH!

Our two Polish

When they were 4ish weeks old

Skunk

Walnut

Now at 11ish Weeks old

Skunk

Walnut

Are they male or female?

Hm. Skunk has always had a red comb. From what I could see of it anyways..

Walnut's feathers are always like that.. But right now they are muddy. He/She doesn't like to be held!

in those pics skunk's crest looks very round which is indicative of a pullet. walnut's looks like it is more spiky which is indicative of a roo. but it's hard to tell 100% with this breed until they are older.

I don't trust my instincts. what gender do you think these are??????

I would consider them all girls till you find out different.

I have 2 right now that are 12 weeks and don't show any male characteristics. Maybe I got lucky?

This is my one and only (bantam) Polish, David Bowie. I bought him as a white crested cuckoo, but he's got alot of beautiful red, gold and green feathers coming in on his saddle, hackle and wing feathers so I dunno. He's such a little weirdo and I love him so he sticks around for now. I've been considering getting him a hen or two but I can't find any :barnie So he may end up going to live with my SILs Silkie hens :(

Hello everyone :frow I have recently fallen in love with the polish breed. And so have the three neighbor kids I watch in the afternoons. One of the girls got on Google and began googling pictures of Polish and came across the frizzles :love needless to say she "begged"(really no begging was needed as I wanted them the minute I saw the picture  but shhhh) me to get some. These three girls can't have chickens, and didn't even really like them til I started babysitting them. Now they love the chickens, and help me feed, water, collect eggs, and check the broodies. I love teaching the about the chicken breeds, and love their reaction each time I get new birds. But when I told them all my breeding pens were full and it would be a long while before I got more, they got sad. So I decided my next project would be to fill my free range flock full of fun, funky, unique birds for them.

So now I am on the hunt for some Frizzle polish
I really want LF but bantam would be fine too. Anything but tolbunt as I don't want to pay a fortune, mix/mutt colors would be fine as long as its pure polish. Please let me know if any one has any. Thanks.
