I have to talk POLISH!

Does your chicks crest have pointy looking feathers or rounded? To me they remind me of Silkies in their crest..rounded cotton ball for girls and windswept points for boys..can you share a pic? I've been having trouble left n right uploading pics, but if you can share one, it would probably help more experienced people offer advice

Mine have responded to behavior modification. Never back up. If he comes at you come at him. Then push him around the yard for about 10-20 minutes every day. Like he needs to know that YOU can move him off his territory. Do not let him eat or drink in your presence. Do not let him mate in your presence. Just keep pushing him along every day. It may take a day, a week or a month. BUT you will win this. Like stalking him. Stand between him and the girls as much as you can and don't let him cross you. Don't just whack them. It's like inviting them to a fight. And you may win that but with fear. I have saved a lot of cocky brats this way. A few Polish too. I have really never had a problem rooster. Only nice ones and reformed ones.
Just an update. I spent the weekend "training" my evil rooster. Any time that I walked by and he charged me, I turned and went straight into the pen. I got kicked the first time, but he quickly learned that I would just keep coming at him. I would work him into a corner and just hold him there. I also cut him off any time he tried to get to his girls. This happened maybe 5 or 6 times since Friday. I only got kicked the first time. He still tries to charge the fence every once in a while, but as soon as I go through the door, he backs down. He's not totally cured yet, but definitely not as cocky as he was. Thanks for the excellent advice. I think another week or two and we will have an understanding

Yay!!! He sounds like every other boy, gotta show him a few times who's boss..so happy he's coming around :D

I have absolutely given up on trying to sex them until the roosters crest starts sweeping. This is my first year hatching from my flock, and I have been wrong on almost every one I guessed younger than 2 months

It's looking cockerel, but it is a bit early. What a cutie!
That'd be a bummer. I can't keep a cockerel once he starts crowing :/.

It is cute, though! The most flighty of my chicks. Thank you!

EDIT:

It's taking it's sweet time to feather out. Still has some neck fluff. Does this mean it's less than 6 weeks? All of my others are fully feathered by 6.

Chicken math has taken over my back yard. It's just so addictive.
Hopefully I can get some cute fluffy shots in the brooder tonight. I'm one of those that doesn't take them out until the incubator is full, but there were a ton of pips this morning, so I'm hoping there will be a lot when I get home from work
