I have to talk POLISH!

Yes, we both went thru alot of trouble for a few lousy eggs from this person. Out of 2 dozen, all I hatched was a poor quality GLB hen but I adore her. TWQueen saved me from being Crele-less. It was 100% hatch of stunning birds. And another Crele breeder send me eggs that I got some nice birds from.

I moved my best looking roo in with 3 BLP, 2 untrue whites, 2 red girls, 1 buff red girl, 1 very interesting hen that will do great with a red roo, a GLP, and an adorable lap puppy Houdan .

The roo just learned what end is the right end of a hen, LOL. The girls are not laying, hopefully this spring. Then my first step will be gettin TBQueen some new blood.

Actually...I take that back...now that I look again, Gold Laced #3 has some small wattles, so this might be a boy. AND...gold Laced #1 does NOT have wattles, so this might be a girl. The other ones I'm pretty confident on.

JustStruttin and Heavenly Feather....I am just going to sit in my corner....you two have some of the most beautiful polish I have ever seen!! This does give me hope to have some very nice ones like that some day. My problem is patience. Wish chickens matured like mice!! I was looking at some of my creles today. The young ones are just now starting to show some color and I know they did not have that Tuesday.

But I really like what I am seeing. If I can get some decent pics this weekend will post them,

Seminole...looking forward to new blood. All mine are looking at each other like...."huh?" I have 2 pullets laying from the F2 generation now and I just shut down my incubator. Going to wait a month and dive back in again. Thanks everyone for all the beautiful pics!

thank you! We love our birds.

Juststruttin,
Thanks for posting your Crele pics. The ones in your signature do seem to show some generations that you've gone thru. It's just amazing to see some of the steps. I hope you can discuss more about the positives/negatives you've gone thru to get where you are now. Good going!
Thanks, I am planning to write it it. I just need to find the time. I have two projects #1 Crele Laced #2 Crele.

The Crele Laced are finally hatching out with 90% consistency but the Crele Project is still has a long way to go. The challenge with the Crele Polish Project is that Black Brested Red does not exist in the Polish Breed. I had to introduce Welsummer into the blood line so now I am contending with brown eggs and small crests. My goal is to create a true sex linked crele Polish.

thank you. I am one of the least patient people around, but I am also stubborn. The first batch of Crele Polish eggs I bought hatched out a in every color under the rainbow. Totally disappointing, but there were a couple in the batch I could work with. I've hatched over 500 chicks to get the where I am today. Here is a couple of pictures of the first "crele" eggs I hatched. I wish I got better pictures.

The trick to this project is breeding lots and lots of chicks.
