Must be the bantam polish. They ride on my daughters shoulders all the time--while shes playing and even down the slide!!!!!!! Til I stopped her, that is.

it's color is called red crested red and are you sure that it is a roo looks like it could be a hen to me.
My guy is definitely not a cuddly guy, he is quite skittish, but tolerates me when I am flinging oat treats into the coop. He hates to be picked up but allows me to stroke his back as he walks by me, like yours. We'll see how he does. He's still quite young and the hormones haven't kicked into full gear yet. If he gets bad he might be headed to freezer camp!

That and at the base of his tail he has one short shiny greeish-black feather starting.
