Hehe, that sounds like a cool mix. I accidently crossed my WCB roo w/ a splash silkie. Mix was a lavender polish w/ 5 toes. lol I had pics of them but I think I deleted them after they were sold. I will post if I find them.
I would like a cuckoo for my flock. Here are a few of my group.
White- One has some black flecks so she may be considered splash....?
Here is my blue hen. I may be culling her. She may be part sultan. She has five toes and feathered feet
And these are the two young roos I mentioned. A splash and a silver laced.
Sorry, he insisted on an extreme close-up.
Any input or advice would be welcome!
The "splash" is just a dirty white, likely heterozygous dominant white or a recessive white with something else leaking through.
As for your blue, curious, why do you want to cull her? The only reason I'd see is if you're actually breeding show type, true breeding colors of Polish, but, I see a bunch of random colors. Are you breeding Polish? Because if not, she's a great pet/layer no matter what's behind or her what she looks like.
I was going to put my whites & my blue w/ the splash roo. I was told that the silkie color rule also applies to polish. You get blue, white, or splash chicks???? I was tempted to cull the blue girl because 5 toes is a dominant trait and would likely pass to the chicks. The splash roo and the white hen that has some black flecks are actually very white. We just had rain a couple days ago and they are still in the process of cleaning. My other group will just be the white crested blacks. I have other hens that I did not picture here. The silver laced is the odd man out. Not really sure what to do with him. He so cool looking but I don't think he will go with anyone except a silver laced wyandotte pullet that is in the same grower pen. That could be a strange mix. lol
