I have to talk POLISH!

So I've posted about this polish hen that I have and how stupid she is. Yesterday we found her shoved down a 3 foot crack so we pulled her out and immediately trimmed her crest. I was a little worried because she was so unstable and wobbly, She was walking like she was drunk. It could have been dehydration from being in the crack all day or the crest being trimmed I am not sure. She drank a good amount of water last night and this morning she is a new bird! She is actually active, not running from me like a wacko and she is not hiding! It might be blasphemy in the polish crowd but since she isn't a show bird, her crest will be short as long as I have her. Her sanity is most important!

She is definitely one of those Dingbats lol Thankfully this haircut has helped her.

My little guy has this weird bubble on his chest, feels like an air sack. Is this normal? Also, he is sneezing a bit, should I give him tylan?

i ordered black crested whites and im wondering if i got white crested blues how do you tell the diffrance?




see the wing feather are comeing in blue someone said that this hatcheries black crested whites were more like black crested splashes i would mind that as long as it had a black crest but i didn't really want a white crested one.

no, i got three of them and i ordered 3 of 5 diffrent colors of polish, what is a filler chick?

this is what i ordered:
Buff laced
silver laced
gold laced
Red crested red
Black crested white
i also ordered two silkie chicks and got 5 or so extra roos for warmth.

If you're not keeping them to be showbirds, no reason to feel obligated to keep the crests pristine and pretty if it's making your bird miserable. Whenever we trim Bjork's feathers, she goes absolutely nuts and really perks up.

Chicks added for warmth, a filler chick.

They could have messed up and put the blue in instead of the black.
There are time when a blue chick is hatched at hatching that they appear to be black.

that is what i was wondering if they messed up or if they will turn out to be my black crested whites im not sure what the black crest white chicks are supose to look like.
