I just had the neatest experience with my Polish roo. He's going through chicken puberty, so he's been really aggressive lately. Compared to the infamous Milton, our barred rock rooster, he's still quite tame, but I've been trying to work with him to prevent him from getting worse. Anyway, when I scoop him up and carry him around, he's not happy about it at all, and is pretty enthusiastic to be let loose when I finally put him down, but today I tried something a little different. When I caught him (against his will, of course) I sat down and cuddled him into my lap, and it was like he just melted. Even after I let go of him, he continued to sit in my lap for a good five minutes before casually hopping off my lap and wandering away. It was a very heartwarming moment for me and my little roo. <3
