I just had to call the cops!

I have nothing against a hunter and this thread is NOT about a hunter...it's about a dumba$$.

Let's not even get into a debate about hunters.

Let's stay on topic, we're talking about a lil boy with a big gun shooting at my house. If I do ever find out who he was, his tail will get what he deserves.

I think Tx just meant that someone acting in that irresponsible of a way, especially with the wrong firepower, could only be dubbed a scumbag poacher. A true hunter should know better. I'm glad you weren't hurt, but please keep an eye out. If he realizes how many deer are roaming your property, he may be back.

man raise his rifle and shoot...RIGHT AT MY FREAKIN HOUSE

Dont get your soap in a lather, I was on topic. you did not mention a boy in your original post and I was agreeing with you in the first place. Just wanted to clarify the fact that no reasonable hunter would do that! Now that he is a boy it clears things up a bit now doesn't it!

You can never be to careful. People like to argue about hunters and I think Tx took the comment "Moron hunter" to mean that hunters are morons and that's not what she meant.

Anyway, I hope he does come back because I'm always home. If he lives where I think he does, I can see his house from mine. He's just through the woods.

I say a BOY because only a child can be so stupid to do what that MAN did.

Me and my DH have this problem, we are both saying the same thing but we're arguing thinking the other person is saying something different from what they are saying. Words can get confusing. My soap has not been "lathered".

I think I would take a walk through the woods and have a talk with his parents if truely a BOY, if not I would have a talk to him and inform him how hard it will be to walk with a 22 sticking....... I think you get where I am going with this, if his parents do nothing its his upbringing, and next time I would shoot, thinking he was a deer.

It wasn't a boy it was a man. I was trying to say that even though he was a grown man...he acted like a boy.

I walked through the woods and the way he was walking he would have ended up at the house through the woods. The only way I would go over there is if Danny went with me.

Ok yeah, call the Wildlife dept. Report an attempted poacher. They get really nasty with people like that.

What a retard for shooting at a persons house. Those kind of people are the ones who should have their guns taken away. I'm totally not against guns and spend many hours a week on pro 2A work, but it's dummies like that who make the rest of us look bad.

That's why I have a pump-action shotgun. You don't really have to fire it, but if someone's close enough to hear it being pumped, they stop cold or run and don't come back.

Once caught a guy "dialing in his sights" out of season next to, I kid you not, a Little League field as the kids were just coming up to practice. And what, you may ask, was he using for target practice? Why great big freakin' granite boulders, of course--the kind that cause the bullet to ricochet past, say, my ear.

Had he bothered himself to ask any locals, or gone hiking just half a mile down the ATV trail, he would have found a perfectly serviceable dirtpile with a log set up across it to hold targets from a range of 100+ feet. I mean, if you're going to do something illegal, at least make a bloody effort not to get caught!

Next time, when you call the cops don't mention hunting. Tell them someone was trespassing/stalking/whatever to get them out there quickly. If someone is shooting that close to your house, then you are in danger. And get the fishhawks after 'em, fish and game guys take that sort of stuff very seriously.

Hpoe that guy ain't breeding, the gene pool doesn't need any more like that.
