I just want to cry-My chickens have runny eyes

After the antibiotics (which affect ALL bacteria even the "good" bacteria ) you will need to give probiotic > minimally a good live culture yogurt (set in a separate bowl free choice) for a few weeks... also a supplement (I recommend Avia Charge 2000 because it is a complete supplement in the proper ratios to each other > you can purchase this online from McMurry )

Come to find out -- Wet Fowl Pox __ I'm screwed now,
my chicks that I hatched in Jan have it now also.
Anyone had dealings with this ?
Thanks

So sorry to hear that! If I were you, I'd post a separate thread about what's going on now with wet fowl pox.

How much tylan did you give them? I would like to know because I have a hen with Coryza, and I bought Tylan Injection yesterday.....

What breed of chicken do you have? Cornish do that naturally because their heads are too small. But it sounds like it could have been a minor infection. Try some opthalmic ointment, terramycin has a great ointment meant specifically for eye injuries and infections.

BoiseBubba: Give your bird Baytril (.4 cc per pound), VetRx (.4cc per pound), and cinnamon (put it in the water). I unknownly bought a bird with Coryza and treated it with those things. He improved greatly after a week.

Delawares--

When I saw this link-That's exactly how my chickens looked_
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=36823

The seller was the one that mentioned Wet Fowl Pox-

I'm not sure I buy that-

The symptoms are/were:

watery eyes/sometime a white foam
Swolen eyes- just standing around- when they could see -they had good appitites?
some sneezing/one chick was weezing/breathing pretty loud-

what ever it is---- it's catchy-

The seller recommended I kill them all including my ones I've had a couple years-?????

Now the older ones I already killed-- the Chicks seem alright until a few days ago-

Shoot I don't know what to do.....

I guess it's Texas Chainsaw Massacre time-
I'm suposto be getting some new chicks in May

Check for mites. I know this sound strange, but I brought some like that, and they started doing that I notice they had a lot of mites. I treated them with trylan and got rid of the mites and I had know more trouble. I don't know if they was anemic or what.
