The turkeys were last seen the other day when my father was fencing at said location of missing animal. After questioning father I soon discovered that my hens were clucking and yelping to the wild turkeys across the street.
Weve got 60 acres of wooded land across the street from my house. I would assume my turkeys got to talking with the natives and decided they would go see them.

I had wild turkeys come a courtin last year. My nine hens were scared whitless and my two tommies were horse from gobbeling when I got back to the farm. There is a flock that averages around 60 every year and some of them thought they were gonna add some new blood, but were a still up in the trees. I got the garden hose and chased them away. After I chased them off my girls came back out of their range shelter and strutted around like toms. It was hilarious! Meanwhile the toms took a much needed break and ate. I sure hope you find your turks. Those wild turkeys are fun to watch, but I prefer my white me and them on my neighbors land.
I have searched and looked and walked to woods nothing. Ive decided to order some turkey eggs and hatch them. Its cold so im running late today. I just went outside to start chores and...........
one of the girls was in my back yard.
what the heck. My brother went to get sunflower seeds (they only like the ranch) Ill catch her and pen her. Hopefully shell call the other one in.

GREAT!!!! Great start!!! How many did you have total?
I would DEFINITELY catch her and pen her WHERE SHE CANT GET OUT but can still see the other Turks and hopefully she will call and attract them back!!!
Great news!!!
There were two, so just one missing now... I am glad you got her back! If the other is ok, I doubt it's far away. They are flock creatures and don't like to be separated. Keeping my feathers crossed that the other one returns!
