I knew this cat was no good.... UPDATE Men + Bud + Cat=LOL

OK it's not just me. Neighbors started pulling their grills into the front yards to watch the great Garfield Hunt!

Wish I drank, cause there's a ton of Buds being handed out out there. LOL

Okay ... I want to know where the pictures are!?!?!?!

Glad things are looking funnier, if not UP, for you.

Maybe the cat will drop dead from a heart attack, being chased all over the neighborhood.

I'd still put the live catch trap out, just in case. If not for the cat, for the gophers.

As far as the Animal control person? There is no excuse for his/her behavior. Be sure to report the behavior to the proper authorities, cuz no one should have to answer to a *rude* PUBLIC SERVANT. On the other hand, report how nice the police officer was regarding the situation to his/her supervisor. No one thinks to thank a cop, and with all the budget problems these days if it comes down to lay offs, you don't want the good ones to get laid off, leaving the friends of the AC person...

WOW! Quite an adventurous few days you have had!!! I am sooooo sorry for your chick losses.

Maybe you have made a new friend with the neighbor who lost chicks too! I hope they get that darn cat!!! And I am glad you found your green eggs!!!

So the sheriff came and picked up eggs on his way home.

One of the guys came walking by smiling and strutting with the cat in a huge fishing net. They were all cheering. This cop thought it was the funniest thing he had ever seen.

I grabbed a box, cat in the box, sheriff is stopping at the shelter.

When the car showed up everyone ran inside. Cowards! LOL

This is the closest I've gotten to meeting any neighbors, but kind of watched from my window, but man was this fun.

Lots of cops in my family. I praise and complain. lol
The cop is a little upset with AC too, but he told us to file a complaint. Guess he kind of tried to put the neighbor up to taking me to court. hmmmmmmmmmmm

I am so sorry that this has happened to you, and I am glad that they caught the cat.

Last week a dog came in a killed 10 of my chickens. Then 4 days later he came back and chewed thru some chicken wire and got to 9 more. Now mind you the chicken wire cage was in a fenced yard. I was so mad, that if I would have had a gun I probably would have shot him, but I didn't. Then I calmed down and became myself again and I called animal control but I never saw them. I haven't seen the dog either. But I have been looking on the website of animals they have picked up and haven't seen him.

I am glad that your story has a much better ending with the cat caught.

I am thankful that I have friends who have offered me eggs to help me rebuild my flock, hopefully, you will be able to get those lost breeds again.

I'm so sorry about your birds too. Maybe I have something you need to replace. I can send a few your way.

I do want to replace the breeds I lost. So bummed out on those chicks.

After all the craziness today, I'm back to thinking abou tthe birds and bored to boot.

I have my last 2 hatches in my living room with me now. They aren't going out yet. But I did find how the cat got into my garage. It was my fault. I fixed it and it should be ok now. I tried to fix my dryer right after my husband died and gave up. I hadn't replaced the dryer hose, so it's fixed now. The hose, not the dryer. Still that was a good squeeze for Garfield. Only place he coulod have come in from though. Unless he got in while I was feeding and going back and forth for feed earlier that day.
