And if I’m wrong, post info on places where feeding meat to animals is illegal because it makes them attack each other and I’ll correct my thinking!

Feeding food scraps, including meat, IS illegal in some places...for reasons that have nothing to do with chickens looking at their neighbors and seeing roast chicken dinner, cartoon-style,

In some countries it’s actually illegal

Here in backyard flocks it's not. It may be for commercial producers but for biosecurity reasons, not because it will make them try to eat each other

It’s illegal in the UK (and perhaps other places). It’s related to “mad cow” disease is my understanding.

I think it’s an overreaction, personally - big difference between feeding infected cow brains to cows and feeding your strawberry tops (or leftover cooked hamburger) to your chickens.

what about a bony carcass? When I pull the spine out of the partially frozen salmon there is quite a bit of meat
left on it. I scraped it off the bones last week and the chickens LOVED the raw meat, can I leave it on
the bones and let them work it off?

Turkeys and chickens can choke on fish bones. And you should not give them raw meat especially raw fish because it may carry salmonella and could kill your flock. I recommend that you boil salmon or cod for your girls and make sure that it doesn’t have bones ( as they may choke) serve with some flock healthy herbs like rosemary or basil and let them enjoy

I process a lot of salmon seasonally and make stock out of the fileted carcasses, then take all the bones, instapot them until soft, and feed out.

I toss my birds all my fish carcasses. They take them down to the skeletons and nobody has died yet.
