Ok, granted my name "Gabriel" is unisex, but lets get it right you starbuckies!

Its not pronounced Gaaabriel

nor Gaubriel

not Goobriel

or the worst one of all

Haha my name is Lauren and people constantly get it wrong! They call me Laura, Laurie, Loren, laurian, among a ton of other variations!

I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks because they are just so darn expensive. A lot of my friends study there but I can never concentrate!

I absolutely hate my given name because it's so un-common. in fact I am pushing 40 and I have only known 2 other people with the same name and one was the grandfather I was named after. my mother whom gave me that loathsome name and her sister hates the fact I use my middle name. My mom had said that since I was named after my grandfather (whom hated his middle name and claimed he never had one as a result) told me it was Illegal to use my middle name and when I told her that reason was flawed because IT WAS MY LEGAL NAME, she finally said it was because of grand father not using his. My married name is nearly impossible for an American to pronounce correctly. In fact, it is a shortened form of the name (which is, if anything, more awkward than the original). Over the years, I have gotten used to being in doctor's offices or other such places, having a nurse come into the waiting room, look at a chart, say, "Ms. . . . ." and then my first name only. My maiden name was only slightly better; being of Dutch origin, it has a double vowel that leads to a lot of confusion. It could have been worse, I suppose - we could have hyphenated them!

Our family name isn't long but people still pronounce it wrong the whole time. Its MALIES.

I've never had that problem with my name, but it's pretty easy. I've seen them butcher others, but what do you expect, they don't necessarily get the smartest people working there. I'd be more concerned with what goes on higher up. Like do you hear how they tried to bully a small pub owner claiming people might think his bar was a starbucks? His response was hilarious and went viral.

We don't have a Starbucks close by, but I do like their seasonal Pumpkin cappuccino. I love McDonald's coffees. Reasonable prices and good, strong coffee.
