I lost the Love of my Life

Jean,

So sorry for your loss, I'm sure for him it was like walking from one room to the next and that he is very happy on the other side and anxiously awaits the day he will be reunited with you.

It will leave a hole in your heart, but know that the Comforter can give you Peace.

God bless.

I've had so many things to tend to since I first posted this.

WOW!!! Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, hugs, & encouragement. The words to that song were very moving. The response from all of my BYC friends...old and new...was overwhelming.
Thank you doesn't seem enough to cover the comfort even a few kind words to one who is hurting and lost brings.

He used to ask me what the newest dilemma was when I would get on BYC and I would read posts to him. Sometimes I would post his responses to questions, sometimes not... LOL! He was amazed at all the people who loved chickens. I remember the first time I told him that people put chicken diapers on their pets. He had the funniest look on his face....and told me...NO!!!
But he also told me no animals in the house, too. Then came the puppies, baby goats, baby pigs, quail, and even a few chicks when we didn't have enough hatched at one time to stay warm in the big brooders. He even brought some in himself. He was such a softy at heart.
When they would start getting on the couch and laying next to him, he would always say "It's time for it to go outside now" One baby goat used to use him as a spring board for her acrobatic maneuvers. He would act all tough, but I would catch him playing with them he thought I wasn't looking.
The memories I have of him are so precious.

Thanks again to all of you! Remember to tell your loved ones how much you love them.

Jean

I am so sorry, and I am glad you have such lovely memories to hold onto. And what a wonderful gift he gave through organ donation. He will continue to touch people's lives.
Take care.

I have no words. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you try to pick up the peices and go on.
