I lost the Love of my Life

I'm so sorry, Jean. If we lived close, we'd be over to help you get those pens built. You are in my prayers.

Jean, I live in SE Texas-I'm not sure what part of East Texas you are in, but I am in Hardin County. If I'm close and can help, just PM me and I'll send you my phone number.
I'm not much at building(that's my DHs department) but I can do most anything else!
Let me know if I'm close and can help!

My deepest sympathies on your tragic loss.

Oh Jean, I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.
I wished I lived close to you, I would love to help you build those pens.... I'm not
good at it but I would try!

So very sorry. I am at a loss for words. I... ____________ for you. So hard to deal with when it is unexpected. Hang in there. Ask one of your best friends to be your "minder" in the meantime, someone who has permission to tell you to eat, rest, cry, give hugs. Sometimes we forget when we greive. My heart goes out to you.

easttxchick: I'm not sure where Hardin county is. I'm more in central east Texas. Henderson county.
DH's grandsons live across the pasture, so they come and help feed if they get their homework done quick enough after school. They come every week-end to help clean waterers and such. They have been a real blessing.

onthespot: You are right. I never thought I would forget to eat...I love to eat! But, I do forget. I'm trying to go to bed before I'm exhausted, but it is hard to do.

I'm staying very busy right now. The submersible well pump went out today! I'm taking a 55 gallon barrel to neighbors and filling it up and hauling water to all the animals until I can get some help putting a new pump in. I feel like I've been transported back in time to when I was a kid hauling 5 gallon buckets of water to the chickens. I'm not so proud of the 30 + pens of chickens I have right now!

I found a pump and am getting it tomorrow, but the friend that is going to help me won't be able to come until he gets off of work, so we may not get it done tomorrow night. I've helped DH do it once before, but he knew exactly what to do, so it only took us a couple of hours to get it up and running again.

I'll have to go back to work, but I don't know just how I will manage all the animals and a job.
I had one of the younger step-grandchildren tonight, he told me his "Pa" was in heaven and he couldn't do all the fixing of stuff for me anymore. He also said when he grows up he is going to be a repairman, so he could fix everything for me when I needed it.
That was the sweetest thing!!!

I'm just taking it one day at a time right now and saying a lot of prayers.
It is good to be able to come here and get such heartfelt responses. Thank you!

Jean
