This is mine. It was made 4x4 by my choice. I have 3 ducks. This when I first set it up. It has hardware cloth on those oprn areas up top

So if there is no roof or tarp etc over the hoop coop in summer they just get rained on? How about where they lay their eggs?

I am pretty sure most have some sort of covering - otherwise people wouldn't use them for their chickens. Blooie has a nice hoop coop set up.

Hi there!!! O my goodness!!!! Such fun when you get to pic out a coop and design it(also stressful!). I got a big old chunky dog house from a friends backyard. I would 100% say "try to find old wood". It is so cheap! I will go get a pic of the dog house for you and measure it so you know how big it is. I have 4 ducks: 1 pekin and 3 buffs. I will add a pic of the ducks for an extra bonus...ok let me go get some pics!

Ok... Here it is! They are not the best pics in the world but they will do. I still have to hang the window, flower box, etc. hope you like it! Also last night was the ducks 2 night out.

I have seen some really nice hoop coops just was wondering about the one reply here it sounded like there was not a covering on that one

This is my duck and turkey houses. They roam free in my backyard and only sleep in there houses at night. I got my playhouses for cheap or traded them for some of my chicken eggs. I have 8 ducks that sleep in the log house.

It looks like the roof is offset to provide ventilation for happy ducks dog house/Duck house. Probably needs some hardware cloth if left open like that.
