I've got eggs in the incubator that are Welsh Harlequin (duck) X Blue Swedish (drake). Just want a general idea of what they might look like. I looked up the info in Holderread's Raising Ducks book but, in all honesty, it gave me a headache. Would they be a mix of the parents? Would some look WH and others look Swedish? Would the drakes have the bib because it's dominant? I'm lost...lol I also tried searching this forum and only found a post from 2013 with no updates.

The harlequin gene is recessive, so unless the blue swedish happens to be carrying it, which is very unlikely, you won't get any ducklings looking like the welsh harlequin.

Blue swedish should be two copies of extended black and one blue dilution gene. Extended black is dominant or incompletely dominant, so what you should be expecting are 50% black bibbed and 50% blue bibbed ducklings. Essentially, color wise they'll look like your blue swedish, but some will be black instead of blue.
