1. you need to chill.
quit being so mean to this kid. acting all mighter then thou.
and betta are able to live in small spaces. Just not ideal. Its in the fishes best well being to have in a bigger tank but it isnt a must. my brother breed and raises bettas and he keeps his in betta tanks which are about 1gallon tank. he knows when the fish are stressed (which may i say the femails stress big time when put in large tanks and MOST..not all.. will stay hidden.) and would rather stay in a smaller tank. STRESS is the #1 killer in fish.
you need to just calm down and give the kid advice not bonbard with attacks. now with that be said
whitecochinlover: anytime you get a pet even if its a small animal like a hamstar or a betta you need to do research on it for the best intrest of the animal.
but its just a fish and millions of them get flushed down a toilet daily.. so if that what you want then go do it.
and pay no mind to the ones attacking you. you will learn then more you go on. every person in this thread has prolly killed a fish in one time or another in there life.
but with learning and educating yourself you will get better.
im here for ya if you need help. one thing i need to say is PLEASE do frequant 30% water changes like once or twice a week.
GOOD LUCK with your new fish.
