I need HELP, please? Vent Gleet or something more serious?

What did the dr recommend besides the medicine?
Did he/she say to just keep her comfortable and pain free?

I'm sad for you and for your sick hen. I know the sick feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you feel helpless to make a favorite hen better.

I gave her 1/2 of the boiled egg , she barely touched it. When I gave her the meds, she fell down, her head lolled to one side with her eyes closed. My heart jumped to my throat , I thought she has died on me.

The Dr didn't recommend anything else other than giving her meds twice a day for as long as she lives.

I had one Ameraucana pullet died from Vent Gleet when she was 24 weeks. So much for all the excitement of expecting the very first blue egg. So this time, when I saw the sticky vent feathers, I thought I knew what to do until I trimmed her feathers and saw what underneath. ..

Sorry to hear the sad news, We had a power out yesterday, so I didn't see it til now, I don't like power outs, I had 2 incubators going. Still do. They were early in incubation, I am sure they will be fine.
