I need info on geese!

So I've had my geese nearly 2 weeks and I would just like to a bit of info

1.my goose has started to lay and I'd just like to know when she'll start to sit on her eggs? (There's 2 there now because I ate 1 !)

2.I was also wondering why the gander was mating with my duck instead of the goose ?

She will most likely start sitting when she has around 8 eggs.

They will do that, but you must separate them because he could hurt them very badly or even kill them. Our gander sadly killed one of our duck hens by breeding her.

Ducks will allow ganders to mate them,especially a gander with ni female ir the female has not yet came into season.

I have beeb wandering the same thing for sitting and all i can say is they usually dont start till i think March and April ir even may from what i have researched.They also are saying some may not sit theur first year.
