I Need Laying Hens QUICK

Well she didn't say he was in 4-H, anyone can enter a fair, they don't have to be in 4-H.

At some, not all, county fairs, there is a class for production birds. It was only introduced into our county fair 2 years ago. But all birds have to be owned for at least 60 days before the show, and you entry forms are due 60 days before the fair, and no substitutions are allowed.

Also if you are showing birds, any birds, they have to tested, vaccinated, and identified before the fair. The vets come out to your house to do it, but it is very busy this time of the year, so getting a vet this soon, would be nearly impossible and it takes about a week or 2 to get the results back.

WELL........I think my exact quote was "If it is for 4H"

And where did I say they had to be a part of 4H to enter the fair. Please read my posting before crawling down my throat.

I didn't mean to come off sounding rude, sorry. I was just stating that you don't have to be in 4-H to enter a fair, because a lot of people were talking about 4-H.

I sure hope the "new egg" found what she was looking for. Watching those little babies grow really is fun and takes some work, but some of us had to start with someone elses babies. These birds become very addictive quickly.
