Darling and daisy are really cute. Picking them up at 10 today, hopefully he doesn't cancel because its raining.

I got them and OMG the conditon... dirty.. VERY overweight.. they smell SO bad and they could barely hold themselves up poor babies.

My ducks need to show their personality to me to earn their names:

• Donald (rip) - got his name for being the same jerk as the »greatest« humon
• Limpy - My Limping drake, he survived botulism and is slightly limping since then
• Katharina - I once had a nurse with that name and this duck was Limpy's nurse and is a proud mama duck
• Curiosity - The most curious duck i have met
• Nona - Short for No Name, a very quiet self-centered duck
• Blanca - White Layer, food addict and snake wrangler, falls asleep in the feeder
• Earthquack - Jumps into the pool at full speed, causing ducknamis
• Olivia & Violeta - Two Buff-Orpingtons with an olive bill, Violeta is wearing a purple leg-band
• Pompom - Has a crazy crest that looks like a pom-pom
• Pommes - has a crest that looks like a single french-fry (Pommes Frittes)
  
• Maggie - A Magpie duck with a completely black bill, currently limping too.
• Bazilla - Another White Layer who has a serious bumble-foot and almost died from fever-cramps (Microbes are often called »Bazillen« in German)
• Waterburger (tentative) - one of the recently born ducklings who was always first in and last out of the water bowl.

The other 12 have no names yet.

Fresh clean water and the smell will be gone! - And they will love you for providing them with a nice bath. Those feathers will grow back beautiful after they molt.
Overweight? - That is one of the reasons why i have decided for White Layers instead. Pekin ducks have been bred for meat since generations and most of them have lost their sense for being fully stuffed and just eat too much… I hope you have other, active ducks and a lot of space for them to run around and exercise that fat into muscles. Blanca Duck, one of my White Layers has inherited that Pekin-size appetite and i assume that without the other ducks moving around soo much (especially the Runners!) she would turn into a fat blob, unable to walk more than the distance between the bedroom and the feeder.
Just encourage these two ducks to walk and forage and they will become healthy again.
