I need to give up 2 of my roosters. I have: lavender orpington, french black copper marans, serama,

What a gorgeous-colored bird your Serama is! Dr. No looks handsome, calm, and sensible.

Is he a frequent crower? You're a talented photographer-- great catch of the buff Japanese roo flapping/fluffing! :D
Dr No is actually the nicest of the group - he has a low crow too. He lets me pet him! The serama is so so cute, i love him, fits in my hand. He's the offspring of an actual serama from Malaysia. I cannot believe he;s handling the winter so well. How did you do with the storm? we are all alive and flapping here.

I started reading this thread because I also have two roosters I must rehome, both black copper marans, and I wanted to see if you were having any luck. But I have to tell you, that little Serama might be the most stunning little creature I've ever laid my eyes on!
Well, not many leads here, but i placed 2 extra marans on craig list. I think i need to give up 2 out of the 5 and then i'll have good balance. I love the serama too - he fits in my hand and is just really silly and funny!

Soler, your birds all look so well-cared-for,

and I love hearing you talk about them so fondly. :) Thank you for asking, we got through the storm fine, although Mildred, my Speckled Sussex, bawks one loooong note to summon me to stand there with my arm in the coop holding a bowl of crumbles so she won't have to hop down into the snow to nosh. Room service!

Do you have Black Copper Marans hens, too? The photos of the eggs look so dark. I've never seen one-- a Marans hen or egg. ;)

Yes, great to meet someone close! My honey actually works in Springs, not far from you. :) Your flock in the snow pics are phenomenal! You are one very talented photographer! Your gang trooping along the path is such a great shot. I too, suspect Colonel Wentworth your handsome Serama secretly relishes his kingly, fur-lined hen robe.

Yes, you've got to get a Speckled Sussex! Very friendly, sweet singers. Hopefully I'll find a Marans hen someday, those are beautiful dark eggs you've got!
