I need to kill my roo and i cant do it

Pics
Before the jokes get any worst and I have to start telling some myself I'll tell this story instead.
Our first chicken was a cockrel the neighbors rescued walking along the highway. They couldn't keep him and DW heard about it. She had been wanting chickens and I gave in.
He was very loveable and affectionate until we found him 3 hens to share the coop.
I had gone to pick up DD at school and she was anxious to see the new hens. As we walked into the yard I heard DW then DD start shouting for help. I instinctively picked up a stick and found the rooster chasing DW and DD. As he passed me I gave him a firm wack on the back of his head as he passed.
DW protested that "He is just protecting his hens". I told her " SO AM I. "
However he was very respectful after that. 'Roo' was a perfect gentleman, fearless protector and provider to his hens and we will always miss him.

A rooster attacking would never work out on my farm because once my Sheppard learned that chickens were dangerous he would kill them all. View attachment 2687827
Is that is Golden?!?!?! He looks like he is doing so good with the ducks/chickens! I wanted to get one but everything I have read is that they won't do good protecting or being with fowl/livestock.
