"You do know every female paw dreams of her kits. Sometimes even the Warriors. I remember one sharp black female kit, a softspoken little grey tabby girl, an outgoing brown tabby girl, and a shy brown tom kit named Basilpaw. I wonder what my kits will actually be like. And you know what? I love you. I know you would be the only father I would ever want for our kits."
Darkit shivered, glad none of his clan mates or brothers and sisters were that way. He knew this was going to be an exciting story.
"Who became the next leader?" Darkit asked, proud that he knew how leadership was passed on to the deputy. He learned that yesterday, from Pheonixheart's former story.
"Me too," she said, licking him on the nose. "Falling in a stream with you was the best thing that ever happened to me." (She won't have kits until spring though, because it wouldn't be good to have them in winter.)
Rutpaw's heart was beating so fast he could have a heart attack. "I, I, I'm in love with you too," he stammered.
