"We need to punish him, not cruelly, but he has to be punished."

"How about tick duty? He's old enough for that now."

Nightpaw followed. She stared at Silverwing, Emberfeather, and Shadowchaser in shock. "Get off his tail!" She hissed angrily, ears against her head. "Can't you see he's just a kit? It was an innocent accident!" She narrowed her eyes at Emberfeather. "You should be ashamed of yourself, treating Dawnkit that way! You have kits; you know how they're like!" I guess some cats in this clan just can't see past the surface. She thought, rather sadly.

Dawnkit shuffled into his nest and started sobbing. He didn't understand why everyone hated him so much. He thought Nightpaw was nicer than most cats.
