Lightpaw hears a cry from the medicine cat den. She creeps closer to investigate, while remaining as invisible and silent as possible.

Emberfeather dipped her head to Auburnstar, "Surprised Flamepaw's expecting at all?"

"A little. But it's common enough with close mates at that age," Auburnstar replied. She licked her paw.

Lightpaw overhears bits of the conversation with Rainshadow. "Kits...pregnant...I never..."
Her mind begins brewing.
Nasty apprentices, she muses. Getting away with that white still so young...
Before she can be noticed, she runs back to the center of camp to grab a bite to eat.

"Hi, Lightpaw," said Darkpaw, leaving the apprentice den.

Lightpaw turned to him. "Hello Darkpaw," she smiled.
Then her face darkened. "So what do you think of Flamepaw and Rustpaw?"

Softpaw stared at Gingerpaw, but her eyes were distant. "Yeah, I guess," she murmured, deep in thought.

Riverkit was having trouble sleeping, so s/he (I keep forgetting the genders. ) walked out of the den and started to explore further.

Emberfeather had blood dripping down her neck and she stumbled out of her den. She knew she was dying. "Kits I have a story." She told it to her kits. "Long ago me and my best friend Shadowthorn lived here. We both liked Ravenwing, your father, and we both knew well he prefered me. She threatened to kill me and I grew sad. She fled camp and never came back. Then when Phoenixheart had Silverwing and Bloomkit. My littlest sister died of greencough, then the badger killed my father. My story is sad, I know I can't be forgiven. I wasn't the mother you wanted or needed. Be good kits, I'll watch you from Starclan." She slumped down her eyes glazed over and she gave her last breath.

Fluffytail heard the story he already knew. He pressed to his mothers body and bowed his head. He yowled loudly and many cats wanted to see why.

Emberfeather was standing in a starry field. "The flower field..." Featherpool, Shadowthorn, Bloomkit and Brightkit stepped towards her. "It is not your time my precious daughter. I give you one life for hope. You have more to do in this world." Shadowthorn touched her nose and mewed, "I forgave you, can you forgive me?" Bright and Bloomkit mewed a final warning, "Beware of Dawn!" The world around Emberfeather swirled and she looked at the cats with her. She was suddenly breathing again.

Softpaw ran into the den just in time to see Emberfeather wake up. "What happened? Why is there blood on your throat?!"

After a little bit, can we time skip 3 moons?

(Why so many? We should probably only skip 1 moon (if any) at the most.)

Gingerpaw looked around for other cats who would go, "Fluffytail! Nightpaw! Battle training?" She asked ears pricked.


Fluffytail trotted over and mewed, "Weaselpaw, you and Lunapaw! Any others?"

Gingerpaw nodded, "Flowerpaw and Birdpaw! Emberfeather and Ravenwing to!"

Nightpaw was being antisocial somewhere and didn't hear.

Lightpaw went to relay what she had heard. She slunk up to Gingerpaw.
“I’ll tell you a secret if you promise to keep quiet,” she whispered.

Softpaw appeared out of nowhere, crashing into Darkpaw. "What about a secret?" She asked loudly.
