Flamepaw looked up as Rustpaw trotted into the nursery. His pain was still clear. "Come lay with me and the kits," she mewed.

Rustpaw padded over his ribs sore and curled up next to Flamepaw. His fur was no longer soft and fluffed like a kit but was now sleek and strait. Their warrior ceremony will be coming soon. Rustpaw sighed as he curled up next to Flamepaw.

Finchstripe nosed a poppy seed over to Icepaw. "Enjoy!" She called as she bounded across the clearing to offer the seeds to Rustpaw in the nursery.

Galefeather took a deep breath. She didn't want Icepaw to be angry with her, so she chose her words with care. "Once you are healed...are you going to stay?"

Flamepaw put her head in his shoulder and fell asleep.



“Yes Galefeather, I intend to but my sister. She does not, she’s going to find Emberfeather no matter what.”

Honeycloud stalked back to her den. All the arguing had made her head hurt. Now she didn’t care, she just wanted sleep.

Pearlglow’s heart was hurting like it never had before. She glanced across the clearing and saw Emberfeather’s kits crying for their mother to come back and she felt sorry for them.
She pulled her own kits closer to her.

Honeycloud stalked back to her den. All the arguing had made her head hurt. Now she didn’t care, she just wanted sleep.

Pearlglow’s heart was hurting like it never had before. She glanced across the clearing and saw Emberfeather’s kits crying for their mother to come back and she felt sorry for them.
She pulled her own kits closer to her.

“Pearlglow, can you please go check on Flamepaw and the kits? They are in the nursery.” Silverwing called to her.

“Sure,” Pearlglow replied. “Let’s go nighty-night now, kits. Come on, you too, Puddlekit.”

Flamepaw felt a kit move beside her and pulled the kit closer with her tail. She was comforted by the kits and Rustpaw allowing herself to sleep properly.

Puddlekit whined. "But I wanna go play!" She flopped on the floor and pouted.
