I'm very proud of you! As someone who saw her MIL die in her early 60's from emphysema and who is now watching her son, my BIL, die of the same thing, with an oxygen mask in one hand and a cigarette in the other, at the age of 56, I am very glad you've changed your path. I have never been addicted to heroin, but they say that it is easier to kick heroin than it is to quit smoking. Quitting smoking was easier than I thought it would be, but I was ready. If you have never been a smoker, you just don't really understand what a acheivement this is. Did I mention that I also quit drinking this year?
