I really wanted him to be a goose. My husband wanted to keep him in the house and I put my foot down and told him that I didn't believe he would ever be truly happy in the house. He NEEDED to be a goose.
To see him with his new ladies is wonderful! I love watching them honk/baby talk to each other, chase each other around and act silly. But this morning, he stopped being my baby and in my baby's place was a maturing 6 month old gander. That's when it hit! And the tears started falling.
Cottage Rose, I can't thank you enough for recommending, Dorothy aka mothergoose08 to me. She and her husband are warm, kind, wonderful people who have so many absolutely gorgeous geese that it was dizzying! We were introduced to their breeding flock, this years babies, their guineas, dogs, and even their catfish!!!! ROFL!! She had nothing but wonderful things to say about you!!
Thanks again everyone. Now to come up with names for these three. One is completely smooth and the other two just have a few curly feathers. Peter looks like he stuck his toes in a socket. lol
They should make beautiful babies in the Spring!! I'll get some pics up later on.
I'm always happy to refer people to others
when I don't have what they're looking for.
Hope I can make it down to Dorothys sometime.
I tried to get in touch with her before we left for Gatlinburg but wasn't able to hook up with her.
Maybe next time.
So glad you're lovin' your geese!
