I agree. If you don't have money to buy a particular animal, especially if it something as cheap as a $4 chicken, don't get it. It means you definitely don't have money to make a good brooder, coop, or pay for their basic needs. And what if you have a rooster? If you can't keep it, can you get rid of it yourself, or will you have to pay someone else?If you don't have money for them, maybe you should just wait until you do.
You can't 'make' a hen go broody....
...but you could 'make' yourself manage your brooder environment better.
