I saw bantams at TSC. Man are they CUTE! But I need some advice...

I know I was on their site earlier but then I relized how much shipping was! It was $35 just for shipping plus the chicks were $10 so It would have cost me...Here we go the chicken math!..... *Getting out calculater*.... It would have costed me $85 for 5 pullets with shipping included. That is WAY too much money to spend on 5 chicks. When I can just go to TSC and get 6 straight run chicks for... *Getting out calculater* $15. So thats why I didnt order from mypetchicken.com

I ordered mine from mypetchickem.com, but I only got 2 bantams sexed because they were $10 each to get them that way. Hopefully since I just ordered 2 I actually get 2 hens!

I have bought straight run bantams twice; got two out of two roosters the first time. The second time I got two out of two pullets.

My minimum order has to be 5 bantams. At least thats what I read on mypetchicken.com. I guess it depends on your area. Because they need to be kept warm. So, the longer they are in shipping the more chicks your minimuim will have to be. I am ok with getting 5 chicks. But not the price tag. I also tried a bunch of other hatcheries to see if they were any cheaper. But they only have St. Run.

Yeah, I'm ot sure what my minimum oder was cuz I bought 15...on;y 2 bantams cuz they were so expensive. The other 13 were on average ike $3.50ish a piece. They r supposed to be here either Tuesday or Wednesday! Yeah! Good luck if u try the straight run!

I have 17 black/golden sexlink pullet chicks and went to tractor supply today to get some more feed and ended up coming home with 5 straight run assorted bantam.. I have no idea the sex or types of bantams they are but who cares I live in the country and they are adorable! and also I am kinda hoping I get some roosters lol.. Good luck, and if I were you I would go for it and just buy some (they sell really fast) and get rid of the roosters if you have to
