I set eggs 2/27/10 ** DUE 3/20th-3/21st** WE"RE HATCHING!!!!

Okay, so I've been waiting patiently for night-fall the past two days to check for life after the incident:
Last night- a whole bunch of not sures and maybes. I'm not sure about the first eggs that I put in; like the one cochin egg that had a dancing embryo in it- I think the mass has gotten bigger & is taking up more room, but I'm not sure. There are a ton of eggs that I'm really not sure whether there was ever any growth- but I don't want to crack them open.
Just to clarify- I set 9 on the27th, one or two on the 3rd, and 5 more on March 5th. All of the eggs that I could see into from the 5th have heavy veining.
My problem is; even with a very bright LED flashlight- I just can't see through many of my cochin eggs enough to be positive about growth....
Because I'm new, I also don't want to throw out any that are questionable yet....when should I really worry about getting rid of the clear ones- like- by which day should I really be able to tell a clear one from a developing chick-
I don't want any explosions and such. You all have been very helpful & kind.

I toss the clears on day 14. By then there should be a very obvious, large dark mass taking up about half to 3/4 of the egg space. If there is obvious veining when shining a light down from the top of the egg (through the air pocket) leave them in to keep cooking along! When in doubt a little sniff test should tell you who is bad and who is not.....

I haven't been keeping up with my candling pictures because the flu is really hitting the household hard.
I'm the eldest of 4 - the 12-year-old got it first, the 17-year-old got it next, and the 7-year-old came down with it last night. Dealing with sick kids is not my forte. So far, I've managed to keep from catching it

*Note - that little black spot is a bit of stubborn dirt on the outside of that egg.
The batch I have in the 'bator right now is just a warm-up for my Indian Runner hatch that's going in as soon as these guys hatch - and the whole Runner hatch is sold already!

We decided to candle again, now that we have a buyer....
Got the bator eggs tonight, broody will be tomorrow night..
Still can't tell on Joe's eggs (2 of the 5 mutt eggs)
On the silkies... 2 of the 3 questionable are bloodrings, the other is just fine. Though I did mark one more as questionable since it just looked odd in there. Removed the bloodrings leaving 21 silkies in the bator.
Thinking this ignoring it works, usually by day 10 I'm out of 1/4 the eggs. Though having rebuilt the bator may be a factor in there as well

We have PEEPING!!!!!!! Broody hen's one egg is peeping. I went out this morning to give mama new water and baby was chirping away. I asked mama if i cold see the baby and she growled at me.
So it should be today! My oldest only has a half day of school, so when he comes home, he's going to be so excited! Like me!

I can't wait until I get my homemade incubator all finished (I still need a few parts that I'm going to have to drive to Madison to find next week) so I'm not limited to my Octagon 20's limited space.
