fordmommy the 5 that you have going in today...are they shipped or from local? Hopefully you'll get a better hatch out of these. I'm a little worried on my BLRW's because it was a staggered hatch. I'm hoping that the high humidity didn't mess them up. I'm drying out the bator now. I'm thinking I'll go totally dry for the next two days and then back to 35%. Here's to hoping

I'm not sure what I previously wrote but we go into lockdown on Friday (well, Thursday night). I wonder if I should hold off on raising the humidity in lockdown until day 19 or 20? I don't know. Good luck to you all!

Yep. I have an ee that lays green eggs, he hatched from one of her eggs. His daddy was hatched right here from a mutt that roamed the neighborhood. I still have the chick's grandma!

Yep. I have an ee that lays green eggs, he hatched from one of her eggs. His daddy was hatched right here from a mutt that roamed the neighborhood. I still have the chick's grandma!

Does EE mean Easter Egger? If so is the Mom pic of an Easter Egger? I just wanted to know because I thought I had 2 Ameraucanas but they look just like the chicken in your mom pic.

Yes EE is Easter Egger. If you ordered your 'ameraucana' from a hatchery or got them at a feed store... they are EE's, sorry. If you want a true, breed standard ameraucana you'll have to buy from a breeder.

They were here when I moved in, I had been looking at different breeds online and they look like ameraucanas, but when I went onto the ameraucana website I didn't see any that were the same color as mine so they must be Easter Eggers.

She had gotten hatching eggs from her grandfather's friend and ran out of room. So today I stuck hers in there too. And now I am waiting on a delivery that should be here tomorrow. I won 6+ Laverender Ameraucana eggs off auction here on this weekend. Then I think I'll take a brake in hatching for a while. Otherwise I think the DH will have me move out!

I'm so sad. My egg's were now at day 24 and nothing. I candled them and they hadn't even pipped the air cell so I figured they were not going to hatch I decided to investigate though as not too keep wasting my egg's. So I slowly broke away the shell to find a full grown chick that was dead and not completely absorbed egg sack??? The other three were growing but died from what I could tell about 7 days to early and teh last 6 were fertile but died within the first 7 days. What is going wrong. I have an LG that is still air but my temps are stable and so is my humidity. Today I went out and bought a forced air hova bator but I have two other set's in my LG that are different hatch dates I just moved them over to my hova bator can I still use the lg as a hatcher or would that be a bad idea? Please I need some advice. This is my second hatch in a row with not chick's ever hatching.
