WHAaT!?! I love it when my chickens jump up on my shoulder!!! It’s them showing their love! She probably pooped cause you scared her so bad I’ll gladly take a hen like her any day!

Same! I've got one who does that- she'll hop on and I'll talk to her and pet her- but as soon as she gets off it's goodbye, current shirt! I think they specifically aim their feet toward the muddiest places before hopping on.

possibly... I have a completely covered run, so no mud, but poop is a bit worse I’d say

I kneeled down to grab a dish in the chicken garden and my little pullet, now named Jolie, decided it would be really funny to jump onto my shoulder - with her mud covered feet. And whilst I tried to remove her she did a cecal poo IN MY FRESHLY WASHED HAIR. I washed the bit what she pooped in with shampoo and it still stinks!

Weird story I know.

Lol, she loves you! You scared her when you tried to remove her from your shoulder and that’s why she had to poop in your hair, lol!
