Well, beats me. I'm still not sure her legs are as long as a Modern Game hen. But wait! There's TWO of them! And the coloring is slightly different on both. I will try to get some more pics.

I'll tell you this though, they are friendly as all get out. I can go and pick them up with no problem.

We got 20 FREE chickens on Craiglist from that guy. And I still haven't identified most of them. He must have gotten a mixed group of fancy hens or something rare. Not bad for FREE!

BTW, BB Red Moderns do have green legs.

I agree with juliechick.Murray McMurray does sell these.Had a bb red large modern game rooster that came in a friends assortment several years ago.You will enjoy them for their uniqueness and their gorgeous coloring.

Yep! After seeing the rooster, they are absolutely a pair of Black Breasted Red Moderns (large fowl). Very nice birds. I have their smaller counterparts.
