My 3 month old Partridge rock rooster just started practice crowing last week. He sounds like a donkey.
He would "crow" about four times in the morning and then again in the evening. It was very cute and exciting. A few days ago he crowed twice in front of me and my two children. We stood there laughing at him because of the "hee-haw". He only did it twice and that's been it now for about three or four days. I haven't heard a peep out of him since. I think we totally humiliated him and now he's too embarassed to try again. Poor guy!
