I think my chicks are in trouble

Oh no...

I really hope they find your babies. Poor little things...let us know what happens.

Don't worry about them freezing to death...they will keep each other warm. Do you know when they were hatched? If this is only "day 2"...no worries. Crossing my fingers for you. I recieved a box full of dead chicks and I never want to repeat that again!

Sigh.

The folks here in the st Louis USPS distribution center can't find them. The Columbia mo post office doesn't have them either. Most likely, I will receive a shipment of dead chicks tomorrow.

I tried.

Thanks, all for the support. I appreciate it.

Now I am sitting here thinking about how I HAVE to open the silent box tomorrow to make sure they are actually dead. I am so morbid.

Next time I am going to ask the hatchery to let me pay for delivery confirmation. They do not offer it.

I had a batch of chicks "lost in the mail". They showed up a week after they shipped, all dead of course. The PO could not tell me where they had been this whole time. Said it didn't show in the system where they had been. Yeah...I don't know about that.....I don't doubt somebody found them once they started to stink up the place. I can't imagine not noticing a box of PEEPING chicks. Mine was also 30-something chicks. These shipped from Texas to me here in Tennessee.

The next batch I shipped came from California (I'm in Tennessee) and were 12 ducks. All arrived on time and healthy in 2 days.

That's horrible. Poor innocent little chicks. How can the PO lose peeping chicks?

Aren't they supposed to be shipped overnight?
