I am so glad they were found! I hope that they thrive after that ordeal. Sorry for the little one that didn't make it. You're going to have your hands full for the next few days!

I only ordered 5 chicks from MPC. Sorry. I didn't realize you had to pay extra for express for larger quantities.

Kimberly....that IS weird. I just rechecked the box and the return addy was definitely Connecticut. Maybe they ship from different hatchery's?

Sorry it took me so long to reply.

They are FINE! No more deaths, and the chicks have perked right up! They have plenty of room in the brooder, and do not appear to be pecking at each other anymore. One of them has a spot of blood on her beak, but the other ones are not bothering her. They found the water just fine after repeated beak dipping on the part of the gals I had to force-water. Now they are eating their feed and being adorable little fuzz-butts! I will post pics soon.

Oh. And I have NO idea what breeds they are since they were an assortment. You guys will have to give me a hand!
