I went out there this morning and my silkie hen was sitting in the nest just sitting there She made an growling noise when I pet her. I don't think that her egg is fertal. Is there an way to make her snap out of it? Iam an newbie. Just checked she dosen't have an egg! [IMG]

My silkie just went through this. You'll find many suggestions but what worked for me was I locked her out of the coop (so she was in the run) for a period of a couple days. I did this more than once (stubborn little thing!) and then she was fine. You have to go with what works.

Thanks I just checked she dosen't have an egg! Is she just waiting to lay one. It usually takes her a while. Its only been about 2 weeks from getting eggs from her!
