I know, that's what sparked my concern. I'll try to get another one tomorrow during the day. It's too hard to photograph a fast moving bird head in the evening.

At 4 weeks there is a VERY obvious way to tell if it's male or female. Look before the tail for a round, bulging thingy. it is an oil gland and only male birds have it. If "it" has it, it's a rooster. If "it" doesn't have the oil gland, it's a hen.

This is incorrect. Both sexes have the oil gland.
