I think TSC did it again. Barred rocks possibly all roos!

I thought barred rock cockerels feathered in with more of a white with black stripes, where the pullets are black with white stripes. Based on color I would say all are pullet, but then again my understanding of this could be off I'm still pretty new to chickens. Sorry you had bad luck though, I haven't had issues with my tsc chicks being wrong yet.

I wish they were all girls. I've heard a very clear crow tiny faint but clear.

If your chicks are barred like the first picture it's a male. If they are barred like the second picture it's a female.

Males are generally evenly barred while females are black with less pronoun white barring.

Thank you, I'll take a good look at their barring tomorrow.

Your pullets should be noticeably darker than cockerels if they are barred rocks. Also the legs should be yellow, with varying degrees of darker shading on the legs of the pullets. The head spot I couldn't tell by - but the feathering was obvious early on. Could yours be a different breed?

Agree.
Here's my BR cockerel and pullet:

It's possible they could be a different breed. The last BR I got turned out to be a black sex link roo.

Your lighter guy looks like the two California Greys I had. Turned out to be Roos too :(

If they are BRS then that's the barring they'd have.
If you think they got mixed up then no that won't be accurate.

But I'm confused. Are you wanting advice on sex or breed?
Seems like you've had some bad luck with TSC. Ever try atwoods?? They actually have the pullets tagged so you know they were sexed pullets and not mixed up into straight run bins.
Edit: assuming your state even have atwoods, that is.

No Atwoods here. I was looking to figure out what one is the rooster. One of them is crowing I just haven't seen him to figure out who did it.

Well i'm starting to think I may have found one cockerel.

This is all the same chick. Just look at those waddles starting.

Chick #1
