I really like the fabrics. The stripe could become a border for the finished quilt.

I've never tried to quilt and just signed up for two swaps, so I'll be learning how! I got a couple of magazines too that have instructions in them. As long as I only have to cut and sew straight lines I should be ok!

The fabric actually is very well chosen. The roosters in the stripe are also in the print to the right. The apples are a little big but they are repeated in the print to the left. Is the fabric with the chicken and apples on the left a border print?

Wow I didn't even notice the rooster was in both prints! And the one of the left is just a border and the red part has outlines of roosters in it but they are hard to see.

Also the one on the left that is the border print is the one yard, all the others are two yards.

..good deal..it's funny, I have had most of these fabrics!! The red chicken border print I used for a border on kitchen towels and pot holders..easy and turned out great..the other chicken prints I used to make a bib apron ( I had a small piece of the stripe left that I made a bookmark for my Yahoo Secret Santa partner-Redhen). The apple print I still have..I hemmed it all around and use it as a tablecloth on my porch in summer...lots of possibilities!!!
